The Association of Friends of Crawfordjohn Heritage Venture Museum

How can you help?

The Heritage Venture Museum has always been funded by the generosity of interested friends.

To enable us to exist and to ensure charitable status, the Association of Friends was formed. Office-bearers and Trustees for the Museum are nominated by and from the Association of Friends which has a separate constitution and Charity number.

The annual subscription currently stands at £5, and this steady source of income helps to ensure that the overhead costs can be met. A newsletter reaches the Friends at fairly regular intervals, keeping them up to date  with news of progress and forthcoming events. The Friends help further by selling raffle tickets once a year and this helps to cover the insurance bill.

The Friends committee organises social events and demonstrations throughout the year.

Visitors to the museum may join the Association, and there are many overseas members in faraway places, Family History researchers amongst them. Some of the visitors deposit copies
of their research with the Museum.
